Program Overview

The Commercial Real Estate Acquisition Loan Fund (CREAL Program) provides mortgage loans to help small businesses purchase commercial property or commercial real estate to occupy their current business. Attached to this mortgage loan carries a closing cost grant up to $35,000 and technical assistance through the purchase and post purchase process. The CREAL program promotes asset ownership and seeks to build generational wealth for underserved small businesses. 

If you are interested in applying for the Commercial Real Estate Acquisition Loan Program, please fill out this interest form. We will review and the program manager will contact you to discuss next steps. Please be sure to review the program guidelines and eligibility requirements before submitting the form. Basic Eligibility:

Must be Low to Moderate Income and/or serve low to moderate income persons - Income is defined as having a household income of not more than 80% of Median income as defined by HUD

  • Credit Score of 550+
  • Two years of Financial Statements
  • Property must be located on an eligible commercial corridor
  • Maximum Mortgage Loan Amount: $350,000
  • If requested loan amount is over the maximum mortgage loan amount, please be sure to still submit interest form.
